How We Use Personal Information
ELIS Advantage LTD processes personal data where there is an appropriate legal basis, including:

Our Use of AI
ELIS Advantage uses artificial intelligence tools to support parts of our work, including research, administration, analysis, drafting and content development.
We use AI as a tool to support human judgement, not replace it. Work produced with AI support is reviewed by a person where appropriate, and decisions about our clients, participants or other individuals are not left solely to AI.
We do not enter personally identifiable information into AI tools.
We take care when using confidential or sensitive information and use AI tools in line with applicable data protection and AI requirements.
Where it is relevant for people to know that they are interacting with AI, or that content has been generated or materially altered using AI, we will make this clear.

Data Retention
ELIS Advantage LTD retains information for the following periods:
Account information: up to 10 years after last activity.
Purchase records: up to 10 years for tax and accounting compliance.
Marketing data: until you opt out or unsubscribe.
Anonymised analytics: may be retained indefinitely.
Where information is no longer required, it may be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of as appropriate.
Data Breaches
In the event of a personal data breach, ELIS Advantage LTD will notify the appropriate authorities and affected individuals where notification is required.

Course Hosting Platforms

Information Collected During Courses
During our courses, we collect information related to your learning experience, insights and challenges.
Use of Your Coursework
Your answers and coursework are primarily for your personal and professional development.
They are used to:
assess your progress;
create a development plan; and
issue your certificate upon programme completion.
Anonymised Data Collection and Analysis
Your answers may also be anonymised and combined with other participants' responses.
This collective data helps ELIS Advantage LTD deepen our understanding of learners' experiences and course topics.
We may use this information for presentations, articles, marketing materials and other resources to share knowledge with a broader audience.
Privacy and Confidentiality
All identifiable information will be promptly removed or disguised before any external use.
Direct quotes from your responses may be used but will also be anonymised to ensure that you remain unidentifiable.
Request for Removal of Answers
If you wish to have your answers removed from our data collection, email Hello@elis-advantage.eu.
We will remove your responses from our records upon completion of your certification.

Learner Content
While engaging with courses and platforms provided by ELIS Advantage LTD, you may contribute content such as notes, replies, discussions, profile pages, written assignments, surveys or hypothetical examples (“Learner Content”).
By submitting Learner Content, you grant ELIS Advantage LTD an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and display this content in connection with the provision of the courses and platforms. This includes the right to sublicense these rights.
We reserve the right to remove any Learner Content without notice at any time and for any reason.

You may have the opportunity to post your own content on our platform.
While we do not claim ownership of your content, by posting it, you grant ELIS Advantage LTD a licence to use, display and sublicense this content for purposes related to our website or courses.
It is your responsibility to ensure that content you post does not infringe the copyright or rights of third parties.
Any violations may result in liability to those parties and ELIS Advantage LTD for damages arising from copyright infringement.
Ownership of Platform Content

Learner Conduct
When engaging with the ELIS Advantage LTD website and courses, you agree to:

avoid actions that could harm others, violate rights or damage the reputation of ELIS Advantage LTD or its partners; and
access and use the platform solely through permitted means, including official browsers or approved software.
You also agree not to:
share or redistribute platform content without prior written consent;

use the platform for commercial purposes or solicit others for business activities; or
transmit viruses, spyware, malicious code or other harmful elements.
By using the website and courses, you agree to these conduct guidelines.
Violations may result in restricted access, removal from a course or further action.
Account Management
To fully engage with some courses, you may be required to create a personal Learner Account using accurate and up-to-date information.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account details and not sharing access with other people.
A breach of these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Licence to Use
Subject to compliance with these Terms, ELIS Advantage LTD grants you a revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the website and courses.
This licence is solely for individual learning as outlined in these Terms.
Refunds
Refunds for online products and services are available up to 14 days after purchase.
Professional Notes and Confidentiality
Note Taking
Síle Walsh practices a minimal note-taking approach and therefore generally holds only limited information relating to you, and only information generated during your appointment(s) or provided by you through email correspondence, for up to 10 years.
Notes are secured via passwords on a USB drive and protected devices.
The exception to this approach is where you present in crisis, disclose, or present a potential danger to yourself or others.
In this situation, Síle Walsh will agree next steps with you in an effort to reduce risk, in accordance with the confidentiality process, and may retain a brief description of the situation on file for up to 10 years.
