Global Research Partners Wanted
Exploring Effective and Ineffective Expressions of Inclusive Leadership Across Continents
The ELIS Institute are seeking regional research partners worldwide to collaborate on the next phase of an independent research project exploring effective and ineffective expressions of inclusive leadership across diverse cultural, social, economic, and organisational contexts.
What is the purpose of this research and partnerships?
The purpose of this research is to deepen global understanding of inclusive leadership while recognising that leadership is experienced, understood, and enacted differently across regions, cultures, and communities.
Continents Included
Asia
Africa
North America
South America
Antarctica
Europe
Australia (often referred to as Oceania)
Who can apply?
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals, research groups, academic institutions, professional bodies, and organisations operating within these regions.
The Opportunity
Regional research partners will become recognised collaborators on the project and will contribute to both the global and regional phases of the research.
Research partners will support:
Dissemination of the research within their region.
Identification of appropriate networks, organisations, and participants.
Review of language, terminology, and cultural considerations.
Interpretation and analysis of regional findings.
Identification of contextual factors that may influence results.
Co-development of continent-specific insights and recommendations.
Co-writing of the final regional report.
Contribution to the collective global report.
Research partners will be formally acknowledged as research partners on the project and named as co-researchers and co-authors on their respective regional reports.
Why Get Involved?
This is an open-source, non-commercial research initiative designed to create accessible knowledge that can benefit organisations, leaders, employees, researchers, educators, policymakers, and communities.
Partners may be interested in contributing because the project:
Expands understanding of inclusive leadership beyond dominant Western perspectives.
Creates opportunities for underrepresented regional voices to shape the global conversation.
Contributes to accessible, publicly available research.
Generates practical insights that can support leadership effectiveness and organisational performance.
Encourages international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Builds a richer understanding of how leadership is experienced across different contexts.
Creates opportunities for publication, conference presentations, and future collaborative research.
Supports the development of evidence-informed leadership practices that benefit people, organisations, and society.
Who Could Make a Good Research Partner?
We welcome interest from:
Academics and researchers.
Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
Leadership and management scholars.
Organisational psychologists.
Organisational development professionals.
Human resource professionals.
Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging practitioners.
Leadership consultants and executive coaches.
Professional bodies and membership organisations.
Research institutes and think tanks.
NGOs and social impact organisations working in leadership, workplace inclusion, or organisational effectiveness.
Independent researchers with relevant expertise.
We are particularly interested in partners who bring strong contextual knowledge of their region and who are passionate about understanding leadership within local cultural realities.
How We Will Work Together
Research partners will be invited to participate in monthly online research partner meetings where we will:
Share project updates.
Discuss emerging findings.
Explore regional insights and differences.
Review research instruments and terminology.
Collaboratively interpret data.
Support report development and dissemination planning.
Identify opportunities for future research and impact.
These meetings are intended to create a collaborative international research community where learning and knowledge are shared across regions.
Research Outputs
The project will produce:
Global Report: A collective report exploring patterns, themes, similarities, and differences across all participating regions.
Regional Reports: Continent-specific reports highlighting local findings, contextual influences, and regionally relevant recommendations.
All outputs will be made openly available to maximise accessibility, learning, and impact.
Expression of Interest
If you are interested in becoming a regional research partner, please get in touch via Institute@elis-advantage.ie and include:
